Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics

Overview

The Orthodontics Department is dedicated to the comprehensive study of facial growth and development, with a focused emphasis on the dentofacial complex. Our primary goal is the prevention and correction of dentofacial anomalies. We offer an extensive range of treatment options for malocclusions across all age groups, striving for excellence in clinical care and nurturing exceptional clinicians and future faculty.

  • Academics: Our commitment to excellence extends to both clinical care and educational endeavours. Our experienced and dedicated faculty caters to every student’s needs and ensures comprehensive patient care. Lessons encompass teaching students the biological and biomechanical principles underlying orthodontics. Students are trained to diagnose, plan treatments, deliver comprehensive orthodontic care, and hone research and clinical skills. Special focus is given to handling unique cases and fostering research in the field. Our undergraduate program equips students with the knowledge and skills to identify developing dental anomalies, coordinate patient care among specialists, and make proper referrals. Tailored electives are also available for students interested in additional clinical and research experiences.
  • Treatment: We offer cutting-edge treatment for a wide spectrum of dentofacial abnormalities, extending our care to adults, pediatric patients, craniofacial anomalies, and multidisciplinary cases. At TDC, our faculty and staff are devoted to providing an enriching, fulfilling educational experience and clinical care. As the Orthodontics Department, we don’t just correct smiles – we shape them and enhance lives through comprehensive care and a commitment to ongoing excellence.
