The Grievance Redressal Committee of Travancore Dental College has been established in line with UGC guidelines and operates under the Dean’s supervision along with the Principal as to address concerns from staff and students, promoting transparency and fairness. It ensures a structured framework for resolving grievances, upholding principles of impartiality and confidentiality. By fostering open communication and addressing systemic issues, it contributes to a supportive environment conducive to academic excellence.

Aims &Objectives:

  • Promotion of Cordial Relationships: The primary aim is to cultivate a harmonious atmosphere by facilitating positive interactions among students, teachers, and staff, thereby minimizing conflicts and fostering a sense of belonging.
  • Responsive and Accountable Machinery: The Committee strives to establish a responsive and accountable platform for addressing student grievances promptly. This mechanism is crucial for sustaining a harmonious educational environment within the institute.
  • Encouragement of Expression: An essential aspect is to encourage open communication, assuring students and faculty that they can express their grievances without fear of reprisal or victimization. This fosters transparency and trust within the college community.
  • Support for Deprived Students: The Committee is committed to supporting students who may have been deprived of entitled services offered by the college. By addressing such grievances, ensures equitable access to resources and opportunities for all students.
  • Promoting Courteous Behavior: Another objective is to promote courteous behaviour among college officials when dealing with students. This fosters a respectful and inclusive environment conducive to effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Impartial and Fair Solutions: The Committee upholds the principles of impartiality and fairness in addressing student grievances. By employing an unbiased approach, it seeks to ensure equitable solutions that uphold the rights and welfare of all parties involved.

Approaching the Committee:

Individuals with genuine concerns are encouraged to connect with the Committee through various avenues:

  • Face-to-Face Interaction: Grievances can be directly discussed with committee members in person, facilitating effective resolution through personal dialogue.
  • Written Submissions: Those preferring written communication can drop their grievances in designated letterboxes or suggestion boxes at the Grievance Cell in the Academic block.
  • Electronic Channels: Alternatively, grievances can be submitted electronically via email or messaging platforms like WhatsApp, utilizing the contact details provided alongside the complaint boxes.

By offering diverse communication options, the Committee ensures accessibility and convenience, enabling prompt and efficient redressal of concerns within the college community.
